Curtin Graduation!

GUESS WHO FINALLY GRADUATED!!!

Seriously though. I ended school in February, I think? And NOW then is my convocation. Okay. Its cause Curtin is an Australian university. So there's only ONE graduation ceremony in Singapore and it happens to be every October.

The graduation ceremony took place at The Star Vista at Boon freaking Lay! Wayyy at the other end of Singapore! Had to go out almost an hour early just to reach on time! The journey felt like forever. Thank goodness mumsie was the one driving!

The place was really pretty. and HUGE. Had to take the lift to level 3 then take the escalator to level 5 and then the graduates had to take the stairs up into the theatre while the guests take the escalator to level 7! Yeap. It was pretty complicated.

It was so good to see everyone again (even though there were only 10 of us in the whole class/cohort!)! LOL. But that's the reason why we all (well, more like some!) got really close. We all could still laugh and make jokes just like all times. The only thing that would have been perfect is if Alvin and Kenzi could have made it too!

While waiting for our turn to go up on stage.
The ceremony was pretty draggy cause there was about 400+ certificates to be given out. And we were the last few ones to go up on stage and get the cert. My heart was beating so fast when we were queueing up backstage. My biggest concern was what if I fall on stage? I was wearing my wedges and we all know how clumsy I am. So when my name was called out, I kept chanting "Don't fall Ain!" over and over again in my head. And thank god, I didn't! But I did walked a tiny little bit slow. Hehs. Oh! And of course the guy pronounced my name wrongly! What a surprise. NOT! -______-

After the ceremony, we took a couple of photos, ate and went our separate ways. *sob*sob* Hopefully, it won't be the last time I'm seeing all of their faces. We had such a great time - laughing, making jokes, filming till late night, completing our assignments in a short insane time! Sigh... I will miss them and school. Yeap. I said SCHOOL. You truly appreciate school and the freedom only AFTER you finish school. Life was so much easier when you're schooling. Now, everything is so real. Reality sucks.

Anyway, here's some pictures from the ceremony.

Edric and Rachel!

Mairah! We were schoolmates in primary school too!
Valerie, my fellow hopeless romantic.

Valerie and Perng!

This guy was the "special entertainment" at the end of the ceremony. Dude sang his heart out! He was wayyy into it!

The food was pretty meh.

After the ceremony, me and my parents decided to go for a family photoshoot! I already booked an appointment at Gloria Photo Studio a few weeks earlier. So off we went, straight from the ceremony. We thought it would be better to go straight from the ceremony as all three of us were already dressed up.

My dad decided to have his own portrait taken. He said he wants to use them for his business. Please. I know he's just being vainnnnnn! HAHAHA. The photographer has given us all the pictures, unedited, and we have to choose three before he edits them and print it out and put in frames.

I look so stiff!!! HAHAHAHA.

I think we might choose this to be put in a frame!

THIS is why I rarely smile with my teeth showing. I have ugly teeth!!

Before I end this post, I just want to say a huge THANK YOU to my parents (even though they will never read this!)! Thank you for letting me have the privilege to pursue whatever I want, never once pressuring me to study something I don't want. Thank you for paying for my education since pre-school to university. Thank you for all the sacrifices you make to put me through my studies. Thank you for working so hard to make sure I am able to study as far as I want and never have to worry about the money. Thank you for everything that you have done for me. I can now only wish to make you proud and take care of you for the rest of your lives...
